New Look for Anna Christine Events!

I've recently had the pleasure of working with Christy and Kathy at Anna Christine Events on some new branding for their Orlando-based event planning company specializing in weddings, corporate events and social engagements. This was a really fun project, and the new look is a great reflection of the events Anna Christine plans for its clients--elegant and sophisticated, yet fun and memorable!

family photography

I had a great time taking photos of the St. Jean family. They were overdue for a family photo shoot and I was eager for the opportunity to brush up on my photography skills. We spent some time in the local park on a pleasant autumn afternoon. These are some of my favorite photos.

Band Promotion

I've been working on a logo and promotional pieces for "Next of Kin", a band in the Tampa area with a Blues/Funk/Rock sound. They have been playing for years, and felt it was time to create a logo and some promotional items.

First, I started with a logo based on this sketch they provided:

Once the logo was complete, I created layouts for business cards, posters and stickers...

This business card should really help the band when it comes to making contacts and booking gigs!

This 11 x 17 poster was designed with a white space in the middle where the band can fill in specific details of their next gig. It's a cost effective way to get the word out about your band's many upcoming shows while building recognition.

NOKers will display this sticker proudly. Sure it's minimal, but if you're a true fan, you'll "get it".

Class Assignment: Typography, 2009

I posted some class assignments and design projects from the last few years on Picasa this weekend. This typography poster was one of my favorites. We had to choose an American innovator and design a promo poster for an A&E special.

Final WMNF T-shirt submission

I submitted the artwork for my WMNF t-shirt design today. I have no idea how many submissions they may receive or what to expect from the competition so I'm eager to see what happens next. Submissions are due at the end of next week and I guess the favorites are chosen by the staff. I'll let everyone know if I'm one of the finalists. Until then, here's the design!
